Mighty + Bright was built out of one mom's vision: There must be a life beyond survival mode.

No one taught us how to be grown-ups. We had to teach ourselves how to run a household, raise kids, and take care of our own well-being.

It's no surprise that we're overwhelmed, overstimulated, and exhausted.

We dove deep into the research and discovered that sometimes the simplest solution is the most effective: our screens are out-of-sight, out-of-mind, and often distract us from actually getting things done.

Our visual structure increases communication, independence, and ease — for the whole family.

When you finally feel like you have control over the things you "have to do," you finally have room for the things you want to do.

By putting visual structure into place, we spend less time arguing and avoiding what we have to do, and more time enjoying one another's company.

We’re done with overcomplicated and overwhelmed. We believe in self-compassion, done is better than perfect, and teaching ourselves the things we were never taught.

OUR COMPANY VALUES

We can't do this without you. We care about your feedback and your ideas.

We believe in improving the world through our charitable mission.

We guarantee that we're pickier than you when it comes to quality.

We want everyone to feel seen in our products and are committed to diversity.

We're constantly making our products — and ourselves — better.

Mom-owned and operated since 2013

Committed to People. Committed to Quality.

We are committed to running a human-centered business, with a focus on emotional health, work-life balance, and equitable pay. We could not do what we do without our team of employees and volunteers.

We've made every effort to design and create products that reflect our values — both in quality, and in purpose. Our charitable mission is baked into everything we do.

Based in the Pacific Northwest

Our bright (and sometimes sunny) office is based in Salem, Oregon — when you get a package from us, it's packed and shipped with love.

Proudly Made in China

Many people associate "Made in China" with low quality and cheap goods. But after more than ten years in business, we feel differently. We believe that reputation is founded in xenophobia.

After many years trying fruitlessly to have products made in the United States, we've ultimately found that China's quality and professionalism cannot be beat.

We work with wonderful manufacturers and people like Cherry, Daisy, and Griffin to source high quality products at an affordable price.

We are proud to support responsible, quality manufacturing with fair labor in China.

Our Charitable Mission

Mighty + Bright was founded by a cancer survivor who knows how hard life can be.

That's why we've baked charity into everything we do. For every order we receive, we donate a book or visual schedule to a child affected by cancer.

Each year, we gather volunteers to help us organize and pack donations, which we ship to children's hospitals and nonprofit organizations.

About Our Founder

Sara Olsher is a single mom and a young cancer survivor.

She started Mighty + Bright for the same reason many parents start companies: because she wanted to help her own daughter and invented a product to do it.

In 2013, after getting inspiration from a therapist's construction-paper visual schedule, Sara had a thought: why not make a calendar to show kids of divorce when they'll see each parent?

Sara's first calendar and hand-illustrated magnets weren't much to look at, but they completely changed her daughter's anxiety level — and Sara knew she was onto something.

In 2017 Sara was shockingly diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 34, and found herself frustrated by the lack of resources for cancer patients with young kids.

She started writing and illustrating children's books, which Mighty + Bright donates as part of its charitable mission.

As time went on, Sara realized that many of life's most complicated problems could be helped with visual structure.

Now Mighty + Bright sets people of all ages up for success by breaking big, abstract obstacles into concrete, manageable chunks.
